Overview
Meet the new and improved RadiArmor RF Blocking Hat. Same serious shielding. Better fit. Better design.
We've redesigned our popular unisex hat with an improved shape, a larger adjustable fit, and four logo color options. The outside is made from comfortable, breathable cotton. Inside is a lightweight liner made with woven silver fibers that blocks over 99% of tested high-frequency RF radiation.
That includes frequencies used by WiFi, cellular networks, Bluetooth, and 5G, including millimeter-wave frequencies covered by our laboratory testing.
No batteries. No gimmicks. Just real shielding built right into a hat you can wear every day.
Lab Verified: Real World Vs. Lab Material
Let's clear something up right away.
Our silver shielding fabric blocks over 99% of high-frequency RF radiation in controlled laboratory tests. But what happens when you actually put the hat on your head?
In the real world, you can expect a more modest reduction. Our testing has shown approximately 90% RF reduction toward the covered area of the head under tested conditions.
Why the difference?
Think of RF radiation like light from a flashlight. If a tower is off to the side, some of that "light" can bounce off the ground, walls, or other surfaces and enter from underneath the hat.
The silver liner does its job, but a hat isn't a fully enclosed shield. Radiation can still reach you from directions the fabric doesn't cover.
This hat shields the covered area of your head, not your entire body. Unless you plan on walking around inside a fully sealed metal box, you're not going to block 100% of everything.
And we'd rather explain that honestly than throw around impressive numbers without context.
New & Improved: Better Fit, Same Serious Shielding
We listened to customer feedback and made some improvements.
Our updated hat features a better overall shape, a roomier fit, and an adjustable back strap to accommodate a wider range of head sizes.
We've also kept the things that made the original popular: a classic baseball cap design, breathable cotton exterior, and our signature silver-fiber shielding liner.
Available in four black cap designs with different logo colors:
-
Black with Gold Logo
-
Black with Red Logo
-
Black with White Logo
-
Black with Black Logo
Same shielding technology. More choices. And a hat that looks just as good with your everyday clothes as it does outdoors.
The Silver Lining: More Than Just RF Shielding
There's another reason we like silver.
Silver has natural antimicrobial properties, which is why it's used in everything from certain medical materials to specialty performance fabrics.
Under the right conditions, silver can help inhibit the growth of certain bacteria, including some associated with unpleasant odors. That makes it an interesting material for something you wear on your head, especially during warmer weather.
Our liner uses actual woven silver fibers, not a decorative silver-colored coating.
Of course, silver isn't magic. The hat can still collect sweat, oils, and dirt, and it will still need occasional cleaning. We also don't claim that wearing it prevents infections or that the finished hat has been clinically proven to eliminate odor.
We chose silver primarily for its excellent RF shielding properties. Its natural antimicrobial characteristics are an added material benefit.
Integrity: Watch Out For The Hype
A lot of EMF companies love to shout about "99% reduction." What they aren't telling you is that they're often talking about a tiny patch of material, not the actual coverage you get.
Buying an EMF sticker or a small pendant to protect your body is like holding a waterproof coin over your head and expecting it to keep you dry in a rainstorm.
It makes no physical sense.
We don't do gimmicks. We design products based on actual shielding physics, using materials that have been independently tested to reduce RF transmission.
We also believe you deserve to know the difference between a laboratory material test and real-world use.
Because there's a big difference between impressive marketing claims and meaningful shielding.
Sizing & Care
Sizing — New & Improved Fit
Our updated hat is designed to fit a wider range of head sizes than the original.
-
Head circumference: Approximately 56–62 cm (22–24.4 inches)
-
Fit: Unisex, one size fits most
-
Adjustment: Adjustable back strap
-
Brim length: Approximately 8 cm (3.15 inches)
-
Crown height: Approximately 12 cm (4.7 inches)
The redesigned cap offers a roomier, more comfortable fit while keeping a classic baseball cap appearance.
If you found the original RadiArmor hat a little snug, you'll appreciate the extra room in this version.
Care
The silver-fiber liner is designed for everyday wear and shouldn't need frequent washing under normal conditions.
If your hat needs cleaning, gently hand wash with cool water and mild detergent, then hang dry. Avoid bleach, harsh chemicals, machine washing, and tumble drying.
How to Test Your Hat
Want to see the shielding for yourself? You can use an RF meter at home, but you have to do it right.
-
Get the right meter: Use an RF meter that measures actual high-frequency RF levels, such as frequencies used for WiFi and cellular communication. Ideally, choose one that displays numerical measurements rather than just colored warning lights or sounds.
-
Find a consistent RF source: A WiFi router can provide a convenient source for comparison. Keep the distance and positioning consistent.
-
Take a baseline reading: Measure the RF level at a fixed location without the hat.
-
Measure with the hat: Place the meter's sensing element inside the hat, with the silver shielding fabric between the RF source and the sensor. Keep the source, meter, and orientation as consistent as possible.
-
Compare the readings: Look at the numerical measurements to see the difference. Results will vary depending on your environment, RF source, meter, and positioning.
A quick note: Even when RF exposure is reduced substantially, some meters may still display warning colors or make sounds because their alarm thresholds are very low. That's why actual numerical measurements matter.
Important: This hat does not shield against low-frequency magnetic fields, such as those associated with household electrical wiring, power lines, or breaker boxes. Those fields are often measured in milligauss (mG). Our hat is specifically designed to shield against high-frequency RF radiation associated with wireless communication technologies.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is there shielding fabric under the white panel inside the front?
Is there shielding fabric under the white panel inside the front?
Yes. The white material is just a stiffener to keep the crown of the cap looking sharp. The woven silver fabric runs directly underneath it.
Why is the real-world reduction 90% if the material is 99.9%?
Why is the real-world reduction 90% if the material is 99.9%?
Because wireless signals don't just drop straight down from the sky. They travel horizontally and bounce off surfaces. Since we didn't design this to cover your face, some ambient radiation will always find its way around the open bottom. Companies that promise 99% total body protection from a baseball cap are lying to you.
What about the tiny vent holes on top? Do they leak radiation?
What about the tiny vent holes on top? Do they leak radiation?
No. Standard 2.4 GHz WiFi and Bluetooth signals have a physical wavelength of about 12.5 cm. Cell signals can be even larger. Because the waves are physically much bigger than the tiny ventilation holes, they do not lower your protection.
